About me

PhD, Professor (Assistant) in the discipline of social communication and media science. Employed at the Institute of Information and Communication Research at the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń. Interested in digital public services, disinformation and fact-checking, the participatory role of GLAM institutions in shaping the potential of smart cities, the phenomenon of inclusivity in libraries and the activities of libraries undertaken with people from the LGBTQ+ community in mind. Co-creator of practical e-learning courses, including: 'Bibweb’ (implemented by the Bertelsmann Foundation, the University Library in Warsaw, the Electronic Publishing Commission of SBP EBIB and the INiB Institute of the Nicolaus Copernicus University) and 'Login: library’ (implemented for the purposes of the Library Development Program, with the participation of the Information Society Development Foundation, the Polish-American Freedom Foundation and the Bill and Mellinda Gates Foundation). Author of many scientific works, including a monograph entitled ’Smart city in the information space’ dedicated to smart solutions implemented in smart cities in Poland and abroad. In addition to scientific and didactic activities, he conducts training in the field of creating an image on the Internet and the use of social media in the information sector.
